The Politics of French in Canada
I find French learning in Canada to be really interesting because for the most part, I think it's still influenced by this. A lot of French teaching as a second language is that Parisian standard which has been politically globalized but very different than Quebecois French. And so you have these words like curiel, which you know is invented in Quebec and is promoted by the office of the Quebecois language. And things like that really where the things which came to my head where I was like, ooh, this is great. This is delicious"
