How to Make Art in the 80s

I felt like the 80s and 90s was going 1000 miles an hour. So it must have been nice while you were probably working on other projects at the same time to be able to come to a place that just felt calm and not in a hurry. This is after like, when we were doing basic tracks, it was fairly formal in that Tom had already written the song. Some cases he had done a demo, sometimes not. And we recorded and that would be, let's say we would do a week of what we would call basic tracks. Sometimes it would happen in just a couple of days, and we would get good versions of each of those songs that would be the basis
