The Power of Mindfulness

The capacity to be mindful allows us to be present, to respond wisely, to be free in its midst. There is an understanding that life includes joy and pain, that includes praise and blame,. It includes gain and loss, sometimes in terrible ways, sometimes in magnificent ways. And our life is a river. Everything is in change. If you hold on, what happens? Rope burn because things are going change anyway. So mindfulness of the body, mindfulness of feelings, mindfulness of thought, and then mindfulness of the darma means the relationship to things.
