Temptations to sin must have been the most horrible experience up to Golgotha, writes Peter Hitchens. He says Jesus is without sin for two reasons: as a priest and sacrifice; also in his act of obedience. And so to pride and power he answered serventhood to God and to us,. To fear he said, no, I will trust. In response to abuse and shame he responded with sympathy, mercy and justice. That's why we have confidence, confidence to come to the throne of grace.
