The Right and the Left

I think liberalism, establishment liberals have always seen themselves as balancing between the right and the left. The extreme left has no balancing right for the liberal to try to mediate and moderate. So it's not surprising that the president of Princeton at the end of the day always winds up acquiescing to the most extreme voices on the left. I'd like to tell my more liberal friends, you know, be sure that you don't end up the right most person in the room.
