Sally Kohn: I was really working with my own sense of limitation in self-image. Ever since the third grade, my music teacher came into class and told me just to mouth the words when everybody else was singing. It's been a trip, which has been reinforced by many friends over the years. And I really liked to sing, so there was this conflict. So a few years ago when I was teaching in Boulder in the summer,. I saw a list of it in the catalog, of course, the natural voice. A new age Buddhist singing class. It was just what I'm looking for.
