Exploring the misconception of medieval thinkers as backward Aristotelians, this chapter highlights their efforts to understand Aristotle's works and the innovations that emerged in early modern science as a result. It also discusses the false view of the cosmos held by ancient philosophers and the modern understanding of celestial movements.
