I think pets are a great source of aim. One of the active recovery protocols that is really, I think, underutilized as adults is aimless play or belly laughing. If you're feeling like, oh, I don't know if I'm exhausted or burnt out, try taking a weekend where you are free from obligations and you really deeply rest. And just see how you are at the end of that weekend. It's on my list to get a dog.
