She said to me, imagine one day you're walking down the street and out of the blue, you're attacked by a bear - something totally involuntary will happen to your attention. You'll find it harder to do like deep spotlight focus or attending to work because a big part of your brain will be scanning the horizon for risk. We are not computers. We can't live by the logic of machines.
