There's no such thing as an emergency exorcism. Before I even perform an exorcism, I will have gotten to know the person who is possessed. The church says that I need moral certitude to believe beyond a doubt that the person in front of me is truly dealing with the demonic. Three superhuman strength for an aversion to anything of a sacred nature: holy water, having scripture read in front of them and being shown a crucifix.
