The Relationship Between the Allen Texas Shooter and the Proud Boys

Proud Boys were wearing shirts that said Pinochet was right, right-wing death squad way back even before the last round of presidential debates. Ideas about whiteness and what counts as white are very, very different from country to country. In Latin America, there's often a different racial hierarchy. Whiteness has to do with a larger amount of Spanish heritage or any smaller amount of Indigenous or African heritage. So this is difficult but the outcome is not difficult to understand.
