Is There a Future for the Corona Virus?
As more and more the world is vaccinated, evolution will favor forms of the corona viris that can sidestep and bodies and other immune defenses. How to square the notion that if we vaccinate enough people t the virus will eventually not have anywhere to go and die out? The important thing is that there are enough conserved regions in the virus that aren't subject to as much variation. So even if there's evasion in immunity, it just means that the virus is going to keep on cooking.
