There's a misperception that a female founding ceo is significantly less of a fit with her venture when catering to male dominated industries. Investors didn't perceive there to be any cross industry fit differences for the male founding sos with their ventures. And so there's this perceived lack of fit a factor here that's mediating the effect, essentially, where it's helping to explain why these female, but not the male, adventurers are receiving that lower amount of funding at lower valuations,. according to the industry served.
