Are We Doing More to Stop Group B Strep Happening?

The eny chest does not routinely test pregnant mothers for group b strep. But other countries, including canada and australia do. Current policy in the u k is that we assess women to see if they have risk factors for a baby who might develop an early onset infection. And if women have those risk factors, then we offer mothers antibiotics to prevent early onset infection in the new born.
