What Happened in Germany in the Fourteenth Century?
A nationalist a movement in germany that had been gathering strength, really, since the end of the napoleonic wars. The bourgeois liberals who were fixated on nationalism above all else and more proto proletarian radicals like villich demanded a social revolution. And as happened in the rest of europe, those two sides became detached and then were defeated by a reaction. A last gasp of a resistance coalesced in the rhineland, near bavaria, in baden. But they were all eventually also rolled up by the prussian armyaan. Most of the leaders fled then to london. Some of them came to the united states.
