Government wanted to take over profitable obligations, he says. Kalkar Committee recommended that government share be reduced from 51% to 49%. Indian Airlines employees should have 10.6% and the public 44.4%. So, what I'm trying to say is that it is management and not ownership that decides. And if something is given operational freedom, I was fortunate to receive operational freedom because I had a very powerful board appointed by no less a person in the prime minister.
