De diffusion has never been something that's been in a very clearly delineated how it happens and what encourages it. One of the reasons at work, well, in the past, is that there are benefits to firms to spread their technology va license. But i think it's often very hard for managers to see that they can make tremendous profits if they open up like that. It's very risky. You're basing it on a bet that that a market will emerge, that's, that's very large, and it's e it's oftenvery hard to know.
