What's the Next Abstraction?

It's amazing in the ways that we can couple to things that we don't even realize. And then you start to wonder, and we shouldn't go here, cause it'll take us far afield. What is a broader abstraction? Cause really what we're hunting for when we talk about this is, ok, this is a useful abstraction, but it's also leaky and coupled in some interesting ways.
