I think it's definitely a british thing, yet maybe a male thing, to be kind of uneasy writing about happiness and the reverse of hat and the opposite of happiness. And so i was sort of backing into it by writing about it in a sardonic fashion, hopefully not a hugely cynical one. In a way, losing my cynicism about it was what marked the experience of writing it forret for so many years, becoming more sincere. I almost feel like four an weeks time management for mortals does not give away the fact that you're talking, you're talking about existential things.
