Is There a Side Effect to Finasteride?

FDA did put a warning for either suicidal attempts or suicidal ideation on finasteride. Some people will take the medication and have some depression we know that can be related to lack of androgens so you know in part it's a real phenomenon. Psychologists need to spend time with the patient explain why there are side effects and what kind of context you can see. If someone has low testosterone and then you give them finasteride then they have low testosterone, low DHT they don't have any signaling to the androgen receptor so you may expect side effects from that.
