The Distortion of Fashion Illustrations

Before photography, a lot of the fashion illustrations are wildly distorted. The proportions of the figures are impossible. It's so much harder for us to understand that now when looking at fashion imagery today because it's photographs. But the same manipulation is happening, the same distortion is happening - just digitally manipulated in Photoshop and other software.
