For a time, cupid was the victim of character assassination mediaeval mythographers. He's an irrational man boy who is ruining the world cause ho can't just keep it together. Now we have more, again, this more sanitized version that people, people think of as kind of a mascot for valentine's day. I would argue that he's the closest thing to a mascot valentine’s day has. And a i think he's ready for a reboot.
