Philanthropy as a Funding Source for Drivers of Health
You mention in your paper the philanthropy plays an important role in organizations that are trying to address thee drivers of health. Do you think that they'll always be reliant on philanthropy, or is there a business model there? How are you thinking about those dynamics? That's a great question, ann,. and it was something that really stood out to me when we were interviewing organizations who were tackling drivers of health and either seeking to imbed them in their existing models or building new models to do it more effectively. And what we learned in these discussions was philanthropic funders are often more understanding that drivers health efforts can take years to show a return on investment.
