The Moonstone by Wilkie Collins

Wilkie Collins' The Moonstone is a novel that never starts. In the first part of Robinson Crusoe, I page 129, you'll find it thus written: "Now I saw, though too late, the folly of beginning at work before we count the cost" Here are the first two chapters as he attempts to start to tell that story. Then you'll hear them again so you can fall deep asleep and stay deep asleep to this story that kind of never starts.
