We construct narratives around the set of memories that seem to have happened in sequence or at least that's the way we tell ourselves. We also have a bunch of weird human things like consciousness and the experience of free will but what if all of that is just an illusion an illusion and then a nice narrative we tell ourselves? That's a really difficult thing internalized and imagine imagine that to make it really catch 22, he says.
