The end goal is a heart posture of trust in God himself, not in our feelings or our ideas. The older we all get, the more we realize as we yes cling to Orthodoxy, there is so much mystery in God. Even though it feels like it's just exposing how messed up we are, actually it's elevating our consecration and devotion.
