Effective Altruism and Long Termism

Long termism comes out of a particular kind of consequentialist moral outlook. I'm not in favor of taking wild risks that could end the existence of life on earth within a hundred years. But i think people who exist in future generations should also count, so that's kind of obvious and simple. On the other hand, others, i guess what? Maybe art is weak long-termism or weak effective altruism,. which is obviously perfectly sensible to me, given that i would like my altruism to be effective.
