The Future of Humanity

In some Chinese elementary schools pupils have to wear just a tiny ring around their head, which measures the brain activity, not thoughts. The idea is that it shows the teacher's computer if you are not actively following the class. So what will happen? Will we still be human? In what sense, we will be free. Even my thoughts will no longer be mine.
