The Philosophy of a Bare Feet Farm School
It's different from state to state of course and I don't know the details for every state. In Washington summer camps are licensed exempt. So there's no need to get involved with with DCI, if it's our licensing body. You can have legally a preschool class for up to four hours a day without having a license. And so that's how most of the outdoor schools in Washington operate. They just have four hour classes which creates a challenge for working families. It's inappropriate for preschoolers to be at school for a lot more than four hours anyway.
