The Importance of Communion in the Church
There's a fast required by our church and the Latin church says a fast of at least one hour. We don't eat or drink anything except for water or medicine, if you need medication, one hour before receiving Holy Communion. Also, there's not a requirement, but how we act in the church, how our clothing, what we dress should convey the respect, solemnity and joy of this moment.
