The Turduckin Effect on US Policy Making

This wasn't in the bill. This was added by the Department of Commerce. It's a really common thing in US policy making because it's so hard for us to get anything through, through Congress or otherwise. We try to like stick as much stuff onto the one vehicle that can get through. But what I was gonna say was not only do I think that you end up with, you know, the money spent less efficiently, less effectively in building up the semiconductor industry. Also, I think it's a terrible model for childcare. Like we've already seen how problematic it is to have health insurance benefits linked to an employer-employee relationship.
