How to Transmit a Sorting Algorithm Over Time
The first thing you're doing in life is acquiring all this structured, rich structured cognition. That was the kind of motivating idea for that experiment. The task that we ended up using was one that's underlyingly a sorting task. So if they're in the correct order, we'll pay you reward. And the reward that you'll get is proportional to the number of comparisons you made. If you can establish the correct order with, like, a few comparisons, then the reward thatYou'll get is larger than the reward that You'll get if you use more comparisons.
