What Is the Genre of Human Nature?

The genre of human nature is about trying to excavate our inner biologically based evolutionary shape, set of behaviors that mark us as human. It took me about five years to write it, but I was researching it and thinking about it for about 15 years, actually, before that. So it definitely was not a linear process. But this conception that we're looking for some inner set of biologically based behaviors that are common to the whole human species is certainly an idea that's remained constant.
