Aristotle's Scientific Objectiveity
Aristotle's most influential mistake was endorsing the idea of spontaneous generation. He suggested that these animals were instead generated spontaneously from non-living matter. His system is based on a nested hierarchy and bears more than a passing resemblance to what we would recognise from Linnaean systems.
