The Wretched of the Earth - Frantz Fanon: On Violence and Spontaneity

Red Menace

CHAPTER

The Wretched of the Earth by James Yaki Salis

Fanon's Wretched of the Earth was originally a bunch of separate essays. In chapter two, he sort of restarts the entire process again and goes through it to show the evolution of national liberation struggles. He does this by demystifying general laws, patterns and trajectories which are common to all anti-colonial struggles. The call that Benon makes is not on the capitalist to suddenly have a change of heart, but for the masses to rise up in solidarity with the third world.
