It had been five years since I began at Dreamer. We had completely solved the problem of dream rejection. No matter what happened in the dream, subjects wouldn't wake up unless we wanted them to. There was a human element that could be manipulated, but never erased. What happens when those sensations are suddenly gone? How does the mind construct itself in an impossible scenario?
