How to Vet a Collaborator on a Project on GitHub

When you add someone as a collaborator on a project, what does that allow them to do? They can then also triage issues by triage. What I tend to do is I ask people still to send pull requests rather than committing straight to master. That allows other people who are watching the project to keep an eye on what's going on. And it makes undoing pull requests much easier.
