Atypical Acoustic Neuroma Symptoms

All of those nerves are basically in the same space, and growth of that tumor will basically crush those nerves and cause a baron firing. Facial numbness is actually not very common for acoustic neuroma unless it's a particularly large one. So to have sort of this abrupt onset would be atypical. Even though they're vestibular nerve tumors, they usually don't cause vertigo because they're so slowly growing.
