The House Republican Conference is not prepared to move legislation on banking at this time. The bill could theoretically put every social media company on the front of the table and allow Commerce Secretary Raimondo to study the issue, restrict and ban if they see fit. It's really about all emerging technologies, all social media. And it doesn't just target China; it also targets Iran, Russia, Venezuela, Cuba.
