Toilet Paper - The History of Toilet Paper
In ancient times, people used all kinds of other things to wipe their tush. Mass produced commercial toilet paper began in the mid 1800s. In Roman times, they used a sponge attached to a stick. They would keep it in a bucket full of vinegar or salt water and then sponge your butt with it after you poop.
