The Home Museum and Manuscript Library

The origins of the work that i am involved in with the home museum and manuscript library, or hemel, as we call it, were a micro filming project in the 19 sixties. It was started in europe during the cold war, with monastic manuscripts in austria, which at that time was a neutral country between do and the soviet led warsaw packet. The reason we went to austria was strategic, but also it was one of the very few places in europe where monasteries still had their manuscripts. So the project grew from there. And of course, europe settled down, until recently.
