Ground hog day is celebrated in the United States on February 2. It's based around a groundhog named pukatony phil, played by bill murray. If he comes out of his hole and sees his shadow, then it's supposed to be an early spring that year. In practice, there's always, he sees hi shadow. There's always six more weeks of winter because basically, we're materialists,. And so we make the ground hog conform to when we say winter is over rather than making winter being over conform to when the ground hog says it's going to be over.
