Borg's final days were spent in Geneva with his wife, Maria Kodama. He told her he was going to die and that she should stay with him until the end. The couple had a 'peaceful capsule' where they would spend their last moments together. Borg died of cancer on November 28 but didn't tell anyone about it for several weeks. His death has been described as one of the greatest literary events ever.
