The Abduction of a Young Woman in South Australia
The only witness to any of the alleged abductions had been julie mcade's friend max, who had seen a man in a white car reproach julie on the night that she vanished. Partly because of this, people seemed to accept that the young woman had likely accepted a lift with a stranger, and therefore only had themselves to blame. The distance between adelaide and the dumping ground created a false sense of safety for those who lived in the city and its surrounding suburbs.
