When China was talking about phyto or phytonutrients, those are basically plant-based nutrients. If you're eating like a paleo low-sodium diet and you're doing saunas and hard workouts and sweating a lot, that's going to be different from someone who's sedentary and eating bread and pasta. He actually recommends salt tablets when you work out. And so eliminating salt in the diet for those people is probably a good idea.
