The Cross: The Symbol of Our Faith
There is a sort of ongoing controversy between theologians including biblical theologians about to what it means to say that God is a suffering God. And we also kind of told throughout the New Testament that it was on the cross that we see the most perfect picture of who God is triune as well as the Sun and that tells us therefore that God himself suffers. I think it is interesting isn't it that Christiandi puts the cross as the heart of its understanding as the symbol of this faith? It's remarkable that that instrument of execution becomes the symbol of our faith.
