The Cottie housing project in Berlin was the site of a huge anti-Islam protest. A group of Muslim immigrants and German Muslims were protesting against Islam's ban on wearing hijabs, as well as gay rights. They set up a barricade outside an old psychiatric hospital where one man had been locked away for 20 years. The protesters demanded that he be released from his padded cell at which point they turned it into a 'free Tunkai' movement.
