Taiwan's Strategy for Naval Invasion
The island has a sharp mountain spine across the East Coast, making it largely unsuitable for naval landings. Most of the West Coast is either dense urban cities or long beach fronts with squishy sand that tanks and military vehicles would sink into if they were to land. What this means is we're left with only around 7-10 beaches in all of Taiwan that will be suitable for naval invasion.
