The Locust of Meaning in a Jane Austen Novel

All these buzzwords surrounding Black Lives Matter and all this stuff, it comes directly from the Frankfort School. A lot of people think about things through this lens. I think that the issues with it is they really overestimate how much authority these ruling classes have to shape our tastes. The locust of meaning is in the oppressors and oppressed in a Jane Austen novel.
