The Unknowable Horror of Lovecraft

Robert E. Howard was a friend of Lovecraft, at least by a letter they would write to each other. The Conan stories are not Cthulhu. They are not mythos stories, but they are so deeply steeped in this concept of the unknowable horror and the world that doesn't care about you. One of my other favorites of his is the Whisperer in Darkness, which is one of those cosmic ones that Sherry mentions.
